Hi All -

This sounds great, I recently purchased a 5i20 and a
7i30 from Mesa and I am currently doing some testing
to get the whole setup working. I can help out with
the testing effort if necessary.

Also, as I understand it should be fairly easy to get
the 5i20 to work as a Stepper driver using a 7i33 but
this requires some effort from Mesa and some from the
EMC community. This should be included in the effort,
in my opinion.

I wonder if using SoftDMC would be more practical
rather than the host based setup (Hostmot4, Hostmot8
etc) that why one could just load the required
configuration into the FPGA and let that do the work
instead of the host CPU. Also, tuning and changing the
parameters would be easier that why and would allow
one to make changes fairly easily, any thoughts on
that ?
