You > would think that even the dog house would be "un"wired. 2.1.6 was made on June 7, 2007, before we found and fixed a number of issues in the ppmc driver related to the index pulse. I think most of that had to do with rollover of the 24-bit counter, but there was a logic race in the driver, too, and I think that is exactly the problem you are having. So, I am pretty sure that 2.1.7 will correct the trouble. Let me know if it doesn't.
