After some fiddling around as far as I can tell homing with limit switch and index does work with a STG 1 card. I can stick a .500 dowel in a .500 drill bushing every time. I'm not at all certain that rehome works ( homing a second or more time after bring up emc). I ended up 0.1" off one time. After that I just shutdown emc and started again to check the repeatability of homing.
