Even though my motor is rated at 1.25 hp, I don't think it has enough torque to 
qualify for wood routing using a bit larger than 1/4" or so assuming direct 
drive. I think the best use would be to connect it to some sort of high speed 
engraving spindle via belt drive. 
I will keep my eyes peeled for a small belt drive spindle - maybe something 
along the lines of a Wolfgang spindle:
