Use Yaskawa setup/diagnostic software to set up the drive and motor. Sigmawin. Try Yaskawa's ftp site to get it. Serial port from a Windows machine to the drive. RS232 I believe. You can actually run Sigmawin and EMC2 at the same time. If the drive and motor work with Sigmawin, it should work with EMC2. Use shielded cables for ALL signals and encoder lines. Keep the power lines separate from the signals and encoder lines. Watch the grounding. Good luck.
