I have no real idea. It rather depends on the customs tariff it falls into. I have actually spoken to Customs and Excise, and they reckon that it ought to be free under Section 4.19 of: http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsPortalWebApp/channelsPortalWebApp.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=pageVAT_ShowContent&id=HMCE_CL_000220&propertyType=document#P789_60738 But that is the sort of "free" which means "Except for a deposit to be lodged until re-export, and a handling fee by the courier" as far as I can make out. That also assumes that the right paperwork is filled out, and that the sender remembers to put the right code on.
