I am running my waterjet machine through the onboard LPT pins, where I have attached the ribbon cable (chinese, bought on eBay for 4USD a piece) and a bracket with LPT port. It works very nicely. I have also a single-LPT-port PCI card, so that both LPT ports are located together (I am not using the second LPT port at the moment, but I have not abandoned my plan to do so).
