Many thanks Steve. It was how to take up the endfloat slack which
puzzled me. Some bolts, or a nut & washer, bring it to a level that I
can handle. I just couldn't see how to do that inside the vertex RT, but
it's all becoming clear now.

Yes, a stepper is probably more convenient for a RT, because I then
don't have to fit an encoder. (Or worry about coolant getting in and
ruining it.) It's a good thing that EMC2 handles a mix.

Now I can pull that project off the back burner, thanks to you guys. :-)
