But, once in a while I have something with off angles and shapes, and I use a CAD/CAM package to code it. I will be making a feeder lane for my pick and place machine soon to accommodate a different size chip, and I could do that with offsets. It has angled lines that funnel chips into a straight section. I can tweak the cutter diameter in the tool table to adjust for tool deflection to get the size exact.
