Thank you Evan and Peter! I really appreciate any input. I got word back from EMCO they want $1,133.60 for a replacement ISA RS485 board!
So, since I can't afford that board. Emulating the board or controlling it another way is not possible, apparently. I will have to retrofit it with new motors and controller. Unless, Peter do you think a new controller could power these motors? Would it be advantageous to swap out the motors as well? With new motors would it be possible to cut steel?
