I hadnt thought of a timing belt fiddle, good idea. As for the current motor being up to it I really dont know without working it out but I think possibly/maybe/what did you pay for the advice :) while you have the alternator in your possession and if you feel brave/redneck couple it up to the phase converter motor :)
