Jeremy, to see any of this, one MUST be a member of yahoo's groups. The last time I looked at the TOS, about 5 minutes ago, it was incompatible with my views on ownership of the content posted. So, while my oar likely won't be missed in the grand scheme of things, it will never be dipped in water that poisonous. My sig for a long time, had a preemptive copyright notice expressly because I, when I do write something, intend the copyright remains with me & not some dip at yahoo reading the notes scribbled on our dinner napkins. At one point, yahoo was claiming copyright on every message that passed thru their servers. I couldn't find exactly that wording just now however. Have they finally gotten religion on this matter? I was party to exactly that sort of a patent/copyright grab about 20 years ago. In that case we broadcasters issued an ultimatum to the FCC and a patent troll got a beatdown in court he won't forget. No way in hell were we about to pay some jerk $2250 a transmitter a month to use the data format mandated by the FCC for the EAS messages. Besides, we have a wiki.linuxcnc.org site, which IMO should be the one common place to put the routines & dumps we would like to share with all LinuxCNC users.
