That isn't the way it is meant to be. Bottom-posting (As you describe) is even worse than top-posting (which I despise). My preference is for inline-posting, as I am doing here, and as I also do (with much effort) on the forums. What I dislike about the forum is that it takes real effort to ensure I have read everything. With a mailing list I know that when my mailbox is empty then I have read everything.
