But wading through history in this mailing list is not necessarily easy (this is _not_ a newsgroup, I spent several years reading newsgroups, and inline posting was very much the accepted norm there too) Also, top-posting limits you to only addressing one point at a time, it can be difficult to see what earlier point the reply is referring to.
