Pete I'm in East Tennessee as well. Wichita is a long drive from here. I know because I spent most of my Air Force time at McConnel AFB in Wichita. That was back in '69 to '72. I've often thought about going back to visit since I was a resident there so long I almost became a native....You could tell by the way I always lean into the wind. Maybe next year I can get the wife to pack up and go visit a couple of friends she still keeps up with in Wichita and I could spend the week playing with all the shiny toys. I've got a watchmakers lathe that I CNC'd using the little servos out of some medium sized IBM printers. It is very cute...and works great. I could pack it and the control box in a suitcase!
If you don't mind my asking, where in ET are you located? I'm just Southwest of Knoxville right at the I-40/75 junction. Maybe we could have our own little CNC fest. There must be a few more folks on the list within a couple of hours of here.
