Well, about the drive. I checked the capacitors with my brother's friend
who whas the tester and they are ok. The fuses are ok, I can't see any
burnings or loosen solders, at least in the rapid view.

We're thinking about replacing the drive for a new one of 20 hp. They cost
like US 1100 and it's the fastest solution.

We were tracing and measuring the signal cables and apparently all the
Inputs and Outputs on the Mazatrol T1 controller work with 24 VDC. I'm
worried about this because the hall effect sensors and other switches are
expected to work with tha voltage level. But what impresses me is that the
communication between the spindle drive board, and the motherboards is also
24 VDC. Do you have any experience with this? The schematics are almost
useless for this.

About the lathe, there's only one signal that's preventing the lathe to
work, and that's the alarm signal comming from the spindle drive. I don't
know what kind of signal sends the NC to the drive for the velocity
reference, but I expect it to be an analog voltage. In fact there are some
cases in forums that report a spindle drive replacement, with another drive
different from the original. They had succeded in making them to work, so I
guess I have to measure that signal (I hope the NC can output the signal
even if there's no feedback because the spindle is going to be standing
still).

Well, basicly, I would be thakful if you have some ideas or advices because
tomorrow, if I can measure and ensure that the signals are there, I'm going
to buy the new drive.

Eventually, this Mazak is going to be updated to LinuxCNC, in fact as soon
as it starts to work again I'm going to measure and try to take all the
information about the servo drives and resolvers. The only doubt I have
about that is If I can use the original drives with LinuxCNC, because that
would be great.

Thanks as always and I hope I can make it work soon! Please let me know if
you have any advice or anything because you have a lot more knowledge than
me!

Leonardo.
