Except that the black box is the smoothstepper/pokey/PC (there is a 
Beagle Board Black in that chassis) and the planning is being done on 
the same PCB along with the smoothstepper function.   The remote screen 
is just that, a remote screen/frontend.    No PC required. There are 
some videos on youtube.   This isn't a solution for everyone but it does 
make you think.
