I agree the J1800-DH2 is OK once past the F1 BIOS issues (I think I put DOS on 
a CF and used a CF-->SATA adapter and had no issues updating from F1 to F2) It 
runs linuxcnc fine, has decent RTAI and Preemt-RT latencies and runs as cool 
or cooler than the D525s (and is about 2 to 3 times as fast as a D525)


I would never runa an Atom again as they are just too painfully slow to use 
and can just barely run a 1 KHz servo thread
