Best way for you would be to use python2 where these packages would be called python-imaging and python-imaging-tk. I think wheezy doesn't have these packages for python3 included. The window itself is larger than the video resolution because of the toolbar and the menu around it. This is around ~86 pixels more in height which gives 1024 + 86 = 1110 pixels in height. So if your monitor doesn't have a high resolution the window is at it's maximum and the lower end of the video get's cropped off. Even Full-HD isn't enough for that resolution because 30 pixels are missing in height (1110 - 1080 = 30 pixels too large). I didn't implement any video resizing to get around this problem.
