This has been blown way out of proportion. The only file I'd like to see more organized is the files like Xylotex.ini and the Xylotex.hal files.
Look. Everyone is already creating .ini files. And they are crap. I was trying to improve things. I think there should be the ability to throw up a form on the screen and fill in the blanks rather than hunting through years old help messages and documents to try and figure out why something doesn't work and editing text files. However, few people on this list appear to be using the Beagle with MachineKit to run a Milling Machine so I think at this point this subject line is dead.
