I think if this doesn't work with a 2mm smaller bore, which I'll try 
tomorrow, I'll probaby do something else entirely. XL stuff works well, 
and with the remaining hub being around 12mm, I could wrap a coarser 
toothed pulley around them once the stopper bracket was gone, and make 
that work, but coarser teeth also make for more periodic error, and this 
is quite important for astro-photo work. I'll figure out something or 
miss roll call eventually.
