Greetings all; Generally speaking, the gfx seem to be an improvement over what wheezy could do, but 2 things about this buster install I don't like.
1. The existing as installed screen blanker logs me out in 5 minutes or so. That needs to go, soonest. If the machine is running a gcode program and missbehaving, and I have to log back in before I can issue an e-stop, that plumb dangerous. I'd like to totally disable the blanker if its running a program. Where in the menu's is that configured? 2. Its an old 4x3 Dell monitor, with a ccfl backlight but it does support powering down from computer control, and wheezy could do it but the default leaves it sitting in about a 5 or 10 second cycle of blank but full brightness primary colors. I want a full powerdown if linuxcnc isn't running. Where is that configured in this buster install? My thoughts run toward exporting a status bit from the hal file, back to the system to force unblanking and completely prevent it from being done if the machine is enabled. Is there such a blanker or do we have to write our own? Thanks all. Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
