How about dirt or debris on either side of these boards? Pulling them out
and applying a 100+ psi air hose might dislodge a short, and while they
are out, get a strong camera lens and look for cracked solder around
where their plugs are soldered into the board. One old molex connector
that had a nylon gizmo sticking up beside the boards pins as a retainer
helper was infamous for breaking the solder joint, or even loosening the
pad to board glue and then breaking the foil of the pcb trace exactly at
the edge of the solder blob. Very hard to see w/o that good strong
lens. The only fix for that is to clean (scrape) the resist off the
trace leaving that joint, wrap a piece of light wire around the pin and
extend it out to lay on the cleaned copper trace and solder it all. If
the pin can then be wiggled, wiggle some superglue under it so its glued
to the board again. And burn the offending piece of nylon off the
connector. Its better off w/o it.

I hope this helps Todd.
