Thanks Ralph.
I have suggested both Automation Direct and Automation Technologies. When I
suggested those two companies here was their reply:

"Thank you for your information. I really did find them from internet and sent
many developing mail to them. But I can't get any reply from them. This is the
problem."

I have explained to them that many companies and people buy via EBAY or are
only interested in the lowest cost items. The Bergerda sales rep comment was
interesting.

" I agree with you, we are not the most expensive nor the lowest cost. I
believe no product on the world with best quality and lowest price at the same
time.

In our factory, we think about the quality first, sometime this will increase
some non-necessary cost, and make our products not so cheap as it should be."

They aren't just a copycat manufacturer using aliexpress to resell at the
lowest price. When it's finally safe to travel I've been invited to tour
their factory. For example I thought pretty well all the Chinese drives used a
Chinese encoder. Bergerda has made a point of stating which encoder they use
(high end Japanese) which is way more expensive.

On the stepper driver the heatsink is twice as deep as the stepperonline unit
for the same rating. The fan is nested in the fins rather than on top. And
running a 1200 oz-in motor at 60VDC is much smoother compared to the
stepperonline. So although many of these boxes look the same externally,
internally they aren't. And there are some copycats out there. And believe me
I was pretty suspicious at first which is why, after the issues with the
stepperonline unit I ordered a couple of the Bergerda.

If there was a way for me to become a distributor I probably would but it's
just not feasible for me. Shipping from Victoria, Canada or even Vancouver,
Canada is way more expensive than from Vancouver, Washington State. Not to
mention customs and duties issues. Free trade is only for mega corporations.

I like the products I've seen so far. And more important I like the support
I've received so far. And to me support is the most important part. Trouble
is I'm an engineer and not a salesman so I'm not a good choice to sell.
