I don't rebuild LCNC on this system. If I need to update I'll connect to the network and do an the online apt get etc. Biggest change I made from 2.7 to 2.8 was to add the support for Joints. Other than that I can't really see why I'd update to 2.9 for the same reason it took me 13 years to go from WIN-7 to WIN-10. No apparent value and usually a ton of extra work to "Enhance my user experience!".
