Garbage probably wasn't the best word because of the negative connotation. What I mean is a lot of threads on the mailing list rapidly lose value. A thread about a bug that is later fixed is no longer interesting to most people. This thread will have little value once a decision is made. I didn't mean that these discussions have no value, just that they aren't useful as a history of major events. It's too much work for someone interested in enlightenment to dig through the mailing list archives in order to learn what's currently going on. This is a task the wiki or a blog should solve.
