And sorry, everyone, for getting so carried away and taking it personally.

My scripts, like anyone's, are subject to bugs when first released although
I do test thoroughly myself and sometimes ask for volunteers before release.
99.9% of the time, any remaining bugs won't actually do anything
irreversible, and in fact usually just result in some odd error message, but
theoretically, something could go wrong in unforeseen circumstances. This
would be more likely in a very complex script with lots of nested
contingencies, so being able to read a script is not likely to give you much
of an advantage.

If you're the type that worries about things a lot, you probably back up a
lot anyway. Otherwise, just use common sense and don't use a script which
claims to delete every calendar event when you don't want to delete every
calendar event. That seems sensible to me.
