Yes

Direct ordering of many things from the USA would be better than ordering
from ill organised last to be thought of Australian subsidiaries. In this
USA centric world I don't see the point of an Australian office at all.

The Ipod is a case in point. I was I informed by Apple no word on
availability in Australia and unlikely before XMAS! I can get it by mail
order from the USA probably within a week and shall do so.
