Not only did MS send out the Office disks by pony express (mine was mailed
on Nov. 20th, I finally got it today), but the phone number where you can
get a functional CD key isn't operational 24/7. On the one hand, I can see
why they wouldn't want to tie up operators on evenings and weekends, but
OTOH, *they're* the ones who sent out many many CD's with a bad CD key on
them, and they aren't making me very happy with this unnecessary delay -
particularly irritating, because if they'd bothered to list the hours that
the phone number was operable in the email telling me to call it (I suppose
I should be grateful that they at least sent that out), I wouldn't have
wasted time setting up the OSX internet stuff before installing Office and
trying to start Entourage, only to find that I had a bad CD Key (no surprise
after what I've read on here), call the number and be told that if I'd
called 20 minutes earlier there would have been someone there! I don't
suppose there's any other way to get a good CD Key? At least they're "open"
tomorrow morning. Sorry for whining. Hope Entourage X will be worth it.
