I already do all that actually. But I literally have 50+ accounts and almost as many folders, and even with the main folders, housing subfolders, the list is long :) Plus, I need most of them all the time, and I truly hate having to open and close. I like to see at a glance what needs attention and what doesn't.
Honestly, what I have works extremely well for me as it is for 99% of the things I do.
