I have the same issue.
I have no solution as yet.

I would like to know if you are accessing any HTML e-mail message before
you go back into your account settings.

I notice that customer's that install the full version has no issue with
accessing there accounts but for the most part it's the customer's that
upgrade from Office X to Office 2004.

Will keep you posted

Subject: Entourage 2004 error editing accounts

Entourage MVPs,

I recently upgraded to Office 2004, and have one niggling problem in
Entourage 2004 that I can't solve on my Powerbook running OS X 10.3.3.

The "conversion" of my Office v.X Main Identity to Office 2004 format
went
fine, all my emails, accounts, contacts, events etc.... came through
fine.
but I've noticed that after some "use" in Entourage, I can no longer
edit my
Account Preferences for either my POP3 accounts or my sole IMAP account.

Going into the menu
 Entourage-->Account Settings.
(click on any account) Click Edit
Entourage pops up a window that says:

The Action Could Not be Completed
An Unknown Error (-30588) has occurred.

I can only click the (OK) button, and never get into my account
settings.
I must Quit Entourage, and re-launch and immediately go into my Account
Settings-->Edit
then it does allow me in to change settings.
even after checking my mail, sending a few, etc... the Accounts Edit
will be
accessible.
But then after some (unexplained) period of time, I begin getting the
-30588
error again if I want to examine any of my Account settings.

Things I've done to try and fix this, but nothing helped:
 - compact and backup database
 - rebuild database
 - export ALL of my data, trash my Office 2004 Identities folder, launch
Entourage, Set up all my POP3 and IMAP accounts from scratch. import
data.
still get the -30588 error.

Anyone with insight into the guts of Entourage error code lists be able
to
provide some insight? Thanks if so.

ps. love the 3 column Preview mode now! great job.
