Well the cases that I have seen involved customer's that have upgraded from office X and they view there html message they are not able to edit there accounts as well. So what I will do is when I have and answer I will let you know but thanks for the feedback.

BINGO! viewing any html email is EXACTLY the trigger point that makes all of my Account Settings-->Edit fail with a -30588 error! If I stick to reading and selecting plain text emails, I am always able to go back into my accounts settings without a problem.
