Entourage uses the IE HTML engine to render "complex HTML" (HTML containing
tables and/or links to graphics on web servers), precisely those such as
you'd make in Word instead of in Entourage). It doesn't have its own
"complex HTML" rendering engine. Its own "simple HTML" engine can render
only the sort of HTML that it can compose - namely formatted text plus
inserted and attached graphics files. Because it uses the IE HTML engine
(the "Tasman" engine now, which I think is included in the Entourage 2004
installation so it may no longer depend on your having IE independently -
I'm not positive), that's the engine which will alter the resolution display
to 96 dpi. (Back in Entourage X pre-10.1.4, this had the minor advantage
that Entourage and Mac OE users would see complex HTML messages at the same
resolution as Windows users, for whom these HTML messages were usually
designed.)

PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - **2004**, X
or 2001. It's often impossible to answer your questions otherwise.
