Also, just one bad address in the 78 will keep the message from being sent.
Scroll through the list of recipients in the message, and look for any
triangular yellow "warning" icons; those addresses are bad.

I should add that I recently sent a message to a group with 403 members
without a problem (except two bad addresses I had to remove).
