Sunpak 5000 on EOS

HI folks - 

Does anyone have any comments on the use of the Sunpak PZ5000 on the
EOS?  I have an Elan 7, if that matters.  I'm wondering how well the
features like zoom, FP sync, and slaving etc work in comparison to the
company flashes.
