 Hi Erwin,

I've seen this lens in a shop in Enschede, called 'Second Hand camera'.
They do have a homepage, although I get the feeling it's not updated that
often.

http://www.secondhandcameras.nl/

Over the past year I have watched their occasions and they have had three
200/2.8 L's (only mark I, with built in hood). Price was around 550 euros.
Personally, I find the shop a little dodgy (I think that's the word,
"ranzig" would be a dutch translation). If you are interessted, give them a
call, when I visited the shop they had two 200's for sale, although only
one was mentioned on their homepage... I have not seen the 200 offerd
anywhere else.

It's a shame that a new 200/2.8L is so expensive (around 950 euros, from
what I've seen). By the way, can somebody explain the following to me? As
said, everywhere in the Netherlands a 200/2.8 L is about 950 euros. A new
70-200/4 L is a few euros cheaper (about 920) . But for some reason this
lens (and only this one) is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper in two mailordershops in
Germany ( http://www.ny-camera.net and http://www.internet-foto.de ), with
internet-foto being the cheapest, offering the 70-200 for 747 euros (tax
included)!!! How do they do that??? At this price to me it feels like I'm
almost 'forced' ;-) to buy the 70-200. All other offering feel like 'bad
deals'.

Bart
