I bought a 4000ED and SF-200 for use under OS X a year ago. I use vuescan
instead of NikonScan, most essentially because NikonScan refuses to scan to an
NFS-mounted filesystem (a known problem). I've been happy with it in all
respects except for the slide autofeeder, which is quite poorly designed. Each
time I apply a modification to it to prevent it from jamming, it finds a new
way to jam (3 so far). It's frustrating enough that I've only scanned a few
hundred slides, for specific projects, when my intent was to make my way
through all 10K+ of my slides. In the extremely unlikely event that the SF-210
is better designed, I suppose I'll be selling this thing and buying one of
those... sigh!
