Not much (I've got both) and use them interchangably and cannot see a
difference. VerII has a rubber seal on the end (mine has already started to
shear off). Apparently the 2x has a bigger difference between verI and II
(Optically as well as mechanically because apparently with the VerII 2x, you
can now fit the 1.4x on top of it for 2.8x conversion)
