You won't miss those few extra pixels that the D60 provides. For a couple
years I shot with a 1D with a 10D as backup and never did I think "better
use the 10D, might need those extra 2 MP."

You can easily get 11x17 full bleed spreads from a 1D and I've made prints
as big as 16x20 that are very nice.

I haven't found my 1D.2 to be lacking sharpness but each camera is
different.

In short ... run, don't walk, to upgrade to that 1D. All around it's a
better body. Better build, better speed, better ergonomics, better better
better.

I moved from the D60 to the 1D MKII after having started with the D30. The
D60 produces a beautiful image but as you know, it's a real dog when it
comes to low-light focus situations. The 1D MKII is my first pro body and
I'm VERY impressed with the quality of this camera. What amazes me most is
the ability to crop and come away with incredible detail on small areas of
the frame. I think you would find the 1D to be a satisfying upgrade. If
you produce large prints you won't have the resolution of the D60 but it's a
hell of a camera. Many 1D users who prefer to shoot JPG are not finding the
MK II's sharpness to be equal to the 1D. I shoot RAW and post process
everything and the MK II is a dream.
