The original poster should ask himself what limits him when using the D60. Then you go back and check if the 1D is covering these shortcomings. If the 1D is covering these needs then go and spend the money to get it. If it doesn't it might not be worth the upgrade and you're better off saving the money until Canon comes out with the camera that does cover it (or the prices did come down to what you can afford).
