Alex,

The 3D effect is generally when you use a wider aperture and isolate
your subject. This is only possible with faster lenses.
If you are shooting lenses that are both set at F8 then there is not a
3D effect.  This was one of the reasons that the late Henri
Cartier-Bresson used an early Zeiss Sonnar 59mm F1.5 on his Leica screw
mount as opposed to the slower and less sharp pre-war Leitx lenses.
