Way "back when," the Nikon 105 was a GREAT lens, but the focal length of the 85mm worked a tad better for most studio and wedding portraits. 'Wish I had some of my old stuff digitized so I could show you some awesome portraits...including some B&W. I don't do the studio type stuff I used to do, so don't have the need for an 85mm like I once did.
