There are a lot of IDE files in the distro, and a lot of .gitignore files. You might want to remove those, or at least consolidate the .gitignore files.
just curious, we've heard that before. but why? why not put in our distro?
if we were using maven, they'd be automatically generated, since we're not, then we need them to make working easier.
