Yes, I far more prefer this solution rather than add an extra grab bar
at the top or the bottom.
I also agree with the 'duplicated title' issue. I'd much prefer that we
treat that like a regular menu item, with a title perhaps of something
like 'Tear off menu', which then gets replaced by the actual titlebar of
the window. This is fairly similar to what GNOME does, and I think it's
handled well.
