Yes -- we need some good fonts. I talked to a font-designer friend
of mine about commissioning some new fonts, but it's pretty
expensive to do right away (about $1000 per font).
That's the issue with font design… :-/
I was actually wrong about that -- I had asked him about doing three
fonts, and I thought I remembered him saying around $3000... but that
was per font.
I still may be able to persuade him to do a trade with me, and perhaps
use another font as a base, and get a really nice system font
developed for a reduced price. I was looking at Lacuna (if I hear back
from the original designer) -- does anyone have any objections?
