I know we're planning on entering Google's Summer of Code... I'm not sure if you'd qualify or not (and we haven't even been accepted into the program yet), but that may be an angle to consider as well.
Ah, I just saw you need to be 18 years old to participate in SoC... well, maybe in a few years ;)
