Not sure, but I think this should be supported.  OTOH if it doesn't
show up on the PCI bus, there's no way for Linux to do anything with
it.

Any chance there is a MoBo jumper to enable it?

Or maybe the LAN interface chip just died and that's why the former
owner dumped it.
