So, I've found a '93 Mercury Capri with a bad engine. It looks like the body and the convertible top are in good shape. This is a rather small car, so I'm sure its light weight. My only concern would be fitting batteries in, but I'm sure some "wizardry" can be employed to that end. :-)
Has anyone here ever converted one of these? I'm off to do more research into the car, and maybe even take a drive to give it a thorough look. From the Photo Album it looks like Uve converted a Capri, but there aren't any pictures. I've been reading that these cars have poor braking performance, but I'm sure that something can be done about that, especially since the braking system needs to be modified for EV conversion anyway. Any advice/ideas? Thanks! Matt -- Composed on "Ti", my Titanium PowerBook G4. Transported by my as yet unnamed '01 Monte Carlo Blue Honda Insight #1898 Life is good, thank the Lord!
