Insufficiently controlled regen has been a contributing factor in a couple
of EV racing accidents. Most commercial EVs, including the Solectrias, have
been set up with fairly mild braking effect for this reason.

In my Force, regen is limited to 60 amps. Despite this, with some planning,
I can ~almost~ drive with one foot. (I still need the brakes to stop the
car after the regen drops out at about walking speed, and then to hold the
car at the stop.)
