Ah, yes. Somehow I completely managed to overlook this. I'll ask the next time I talk to someone at Evercel why this limitation - I have charged my batteries as hot as 105F with no obvious ill effects. > It is repeated again at the top of Section 4.0 'Maximum Charge Rate and > Temperature' (where it also states that the maximum allowed charge rate > is C/1.5). What they don't mention is that that's only until about 80% SoC, and that attempting to charge at C/1.5 after 80% will result in very bad things. Or do they mention that now? > I'll gladly send you a copy of my [obsolete?] manual offline, and would Please do - if that manual is still available on the web site, I haven't been able to find it. The last time I talked to evercel, they asked me what my charging regimine was. I told them (it was Elio's, modified by some of my own observations) and I got the impression they were writing it down. This scares me. > Yes, well, still not terribly convenient if you stop somewhere for > 2-3hrs, plug in immediately for a desperately needed opportunity charge > and return in 2 hours to find the charger just starting, or only having > run for 1/2 of the available time. Shortly before the SEVA/Crossroads show, I announced breaking the 1500 mile mark. I've now broken 2k miles [I've been driving a lot more lately] However, to have gotten 50 full cycles, I would have to break 5k miles. We'll see. S.
